“Alyvia” The Dog Painting

This year for Christmas, three girls chose their favorite animals, flowers and colors and I painted them a custom piece of art.

Alyvia is an animal lover and a very considerate soul. I decided on a beagle for the breed of dog since that is the type of dog she has at home. The colors are bright and cheerful, as she is always in style and has a bright presence. The lilies are both open and in bloom signifying she is opening up to the world and her gifts are beginning to shine.

The flowers are painted with glow in the dark paint which add a bit of uniqueness to this painting.

“Amelia” The Unipeg

This year for Christmas, three girls chose their favorite animals, flowers and colors and I painted them a custom piece of art.

Amelia is innocent and has a great imagination. The unicorn Pegasus captures her belief in magic and the beauty around us all. The bright pinks in combination with the dark blue sky enhances the magic and surrealism around us.

Tulips are a sign of cheerfulness as they break the drab winter with the first colors of spring. This is the feeling Amelia gives whenever anyone sees her. The moon and stars light up in the dark, adding the the beauty and mystery that is Amelia.

Stay tuned for more art projects, and I am always open to do a custom piece for you!

“Annabella” The White Tiger

This year for Christmas, three girls chose their favorite animals, flowers and colors and I painted them a custom piece of art.

This painting is entitled “Annabella” it is a white tiger with roses surrounding the head. This painting is for a preteen so I wanted to give this a not so kiddy look. I chose to make it simple. I also used a white tiger with blue eyes to emphasize Annabella’s uniqueness. There is also a glow in the dark heart on the Tiger’s cheek, that is meant to highlight what a big heart Annabella has. The roses are dark red and symbolize the beauty in the challenges around her. (Especially for a teenager)

Holiday art Reveal

Every year around the holidays, I take on at least one art project to give away as a gift. This year, I crafted three paintings for three amazing girls and a wall plaque for some well deserving grandparents!
The three paintings are all similar but also unique. Each girl picked a favorite animal, flower and color scheme and I did the rest. Here is what I came up with:

First, we have a tiger & roses in blue, red and black:

Next, a dog with lilies in green pink and blue:

And finally, a unipeg (unicorn Pegasus) in pink, magenta and purple:

(I will elaborate more in to the meanings and decisions I made on these in another post)

Finally, a wooden “grandchildren” sign with space to hang pictures of grandchildren on clothes pins.

There you have it! My 2015 holiday art gifts. If you see anything you like, I would love to do something similar for you! Visit my site at Easthamart.com to see more!

Sketches and goals 2016

Recently I bought a sketch book with the goal of picking up a pencil and practicing a little bit more. While I haven’t had the time to draw in detail, I have had an opportunity to sketch out some of my long term goals for the future.

After doing this, I have decided that drawing goals may be the new way to write down goals as it is more interesting and really allows your imagination to visualize the goal 🙂

Here they are:
